THE HEART BEHIND OUR MISSION

In the land where snow paints the streets white and the cold whispers through every breath, countless newcomers arrive each year, full of dreams, courage, and hope. But for many, that hope freezes before it can bloom.

Our story began not in comfort, but in heartbreak. Two black immigrants in Canada, faced the kind of pain no one should bear alone.
One spent months watching his wife battle cancer, moving from one hospital to another, praying for a miracle that never came. Her condition worsened each day, until one quiet sunday afternoon, her fight ended. He was left with nothing but memories, medical reports, and tears that never seemed to dry.

The other nearly lost his life to frostbite. Caught unprepared in the unforgiving Canadian winter, with no proper coat, no gloves, and nowhere warm to go. The cold became his teacher, his warning, and eventually, his purpose.

From these ashes of sorrow, Echovisionz Hope Foundation was born, to ensure no immigrant or asylum seeker ever faces the harshness of Canada’s winters alone.

But our story isn’t only ours. It’s written in the silent tragedies happening around us.
In November 2023, a Nigerian immigrant/asylum seeker was found lifeless outside a Mississauga shelter. The cold claimed him before the warmth of Canada could reach him. His name was never released. His story, like many others, was buried beneath the snow.

KEEPING HOPE ALIVE

Just a few months later, in February 2024, a Kenyan mother of four, Delphina Ngigi, collapsed and died in the lobby of a Mississauga shelter after waiting hours in the freezing cold for a space that never came. She had fled hardship, seeking safety, and found the cruelest welcome imaginable.
These are not isolated stories. They are cries from the heart of a community, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, Blacks, Africans, Caribbeans, and other newcomers, struggling in a land of opportunity yet trapped between hope and survival.

At Echovisionz Hope Foundation, we carry their stories in our hearts. We see every coat we give, every meal we share, as more than charity, it’s a lifeline, a prayer, a promise that their suffering will not be in vain.

OUR MISSION

To bring warmth and compassion to new immigrants, ensuring no one is left to battle the cold, hunger, healthcare support for the unqualified, or loneliness alone.

Born from personal loss and real stories of survival, we are committed to supporting the Black immigrant community through access to essential resources, winter protection, food security, and healthcare awareness.

We exist to protect dignity, restore hope, and save lives, so no one loses a loved one to the cold, or to a preventable illness like cancer.
Together, we keep hearts alive, one family at a time.

OUR VISION

A compassionate and inclusive Canada where every Black newcomer, regardless of origin or circumstance, is welcomed with care, supported with compassion, dignity, and empowered to thrive, physically, emotionally, and medically.
We envision a world where no dream dies in the cold and no life is lost in silence.
